Gonna order me some new tyres off the internet to save some money, there are literaly hundreds of tyres out there. Was looking for some basic advice though. Whats the difference between summer tyres and winter tyres? What tyres are normally used in Ireland? I'm not looking for anything sporty or fancy just regular replacement tyres. Does anyone else get their tyres from the internet and if so is it recommended?

Gonna need to post the make/model of car....tyre size before people can comment.....www.eiretyres.com is the place most people get em from and always seem to get good reviews

Yep eiretyres.com was who I going with. Car is a 626 Estate tyre size is 185/70/R14. So again, the difference when choosing between Summer or Winter tyres in Ireland is? I don't know anyone that changes their tyres seasonaly so what is best to go for a year round tyre? Thanks a lot

Basically summer tyres are used in Ireland as we don't have severe enough winters to justify changing to winter tyres.

I used http://www.fastfit.ie/ and found them to be excellent, I agreed a good price, they called out the next day and fitted the tyres at my home. Top service.
