Other that the Public Hospitals, is there any private clinics where one can get tested for an STI, where the results can be got very quickly and treatment started rapidly.

Try asking your doctor / a doctor for a referral.

    Or join the queue tomorrow.

Any of the well man/women clinics. Don't know how long they take to get results though. The suffolk street surgery is a well man/women clinic, thery're friendly and its quite private.

Dr Derek Freedman in Ranelagh - 01 4978327

First consultation is a full screening at €160, after which they are around €100 a pop. Has an excellent reputation. Found it a v expensive way of getting the all clear, but still worth it, imho.

    www.wellwomancentre.ie (They also treat men)

It costs 150 euro for a full screening. Most results come back in 3 weeks and get posted out to you. The cost includes any prescriptions you might need for treating infections.
