So it was announced today that Nada Surf are going to play WHELAN'S (ya I know!!) on April 30th!!

I almost had to be sedated when I found out...the excitement!!

Anyone else interested???

Well that's where they played the last time so maybe they're purposely looking for a more intimate venue!!

Ah ****e I hope it stays in Whelan's. One of the best gigs ever was their last gig in there. The Village is piss poor in comparison.

Yup really hope the gig stays in whelans too! Anyone know when the tickets are goin on sale...got a bit worried when I looked at ticketmaster this eve...did they go on sale last night?? Coz if that's the case I missed it and have screwed up!!!
Anyone know what's the deal?? Not sure whether this means that they haven't gone on sale or that they went on sale yesterday eve and are sold out??

The last time i went to a Nada Surf gig the guitarist threw his guitar on my head I almost passed out with the pain. He did later apologise and kiss me on the forehead. So heres a formal warning- do not stand in the front row! Besides the eventfulness of the night I wasn't that impressed by them live. They didn't at all veer from the sound on their albums. I like it when artists improvise otherwise it just feels like you may aswell be sitting at home listening to them on cd.

Saw them when they played in the village. I thought they were really good. Only thing is that I don't really like the village. Purely cos ya only get a few people at the front, so not so much atmosphere. And everyone else stands near the back.

I'm defo gonna get tickets for the Róisín Dubh gig...such a small venue!!

Unless they move it to the Radisson like they do with their bigger gigs...they wouldn't do that...would they?

i've never moved a gig to the radisson, those were always going to be on in there.
