    Just in case you weren't aware, when Google News came out of beta an Irish version appeared (albeit in beta). Apparently it's been around since late January, I only noticed it meself a couple days ago and thought it might be pertinent to this forum. You can get to Irish stories by clicking Ireland in the left-hand column.
