Do I hear someone slag the comic brilliance of Mr. Murphy. The show has made it more than 1 season, so he's doing something right. The show's brilliant, simple as!!

Yep I aggree with you too! I can't really get it at all!

Isn't the host the same guy from "The Panel", he aint too bad on that!

Its brilliant, I always seem to miss it though?

The show is not a full on comedy show, its a breath of fresh air that is aimed at the complete drivel being thrown out to us on t.v E.g. Pat Kenny, TV3, Fair City etc.

Its P!SS take show, true its not as funny as it used to be but now each show has more of an agenda or "gripe" if you will.

Thought the show where he "took the p!ss" out of the 'OVER ACTIVE BLADDER' syndrome ad was A1.

I'm going to agree with Trilla here, Colin Murphy is just not funny. At all.

I dont think it has been as funny in the last few weeks, but I do like it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

It's ****ing brilliant. One of the funniest programmes on television and one of the few shows I'd go out of my way to watch each week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 995 ✭✭✭sinjin_smythe

Yeah think its good alright, but not as funny as it was. Its funny to see irish pornos and stuff. O yeah did anyone see the limerick sight seeing piss take? aww was mad funny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,386 ✭✭✭✭rubadub

some bits are good, some are trying to slag decent programmes, the irony is that he would rip to pieces his own diet coke turtle ad if some other tosser comedian had done it, and probably the blizarrd of odd itself cause it does have a lot of crap all the same.

Fair enough, he can be funny on the panel, but I could just see someone takin the piss out of his program ten times as much as he does about other programs. And yeah I can see him havin a go at his own ad (diet coke) if it wasnt him, but the other night was just not funny at all. absolutely shíte, and has been that way for a long time....

Didn't see the most recent one, but generally it's a good laugh.

Don't worry, you'll grasp complex ideas like sarcasm and irony some day.

I wasnt that impressed with last nights show, but usually I think its hilarious.

And what about his voice. I dont find it annoying at all.

Eh it's hilarious. Did you have a humour transplant?

Didn't realise it was him that did the diet coke ad - I thought it was that other professional Nornie and "love rat" that was on Cold Feet and features on every second advert on UTV.

Its a great show - very funny

I like the format of the show. I just hate Colin Murphy. He's **** and unfunny too. Plus he wears a ramones t-shirt which automatically makes him a sheep.

I also hate the way on the panel that he's always doodling as tho he's 'crafting' the next piece of unfunny ****e to come out of his gob. I'd like to shove that notepad up his arse and kick seven shades of ****e out of him thru his nostrils.

I agree but I think Harry Hill's TV Burp is alot better.

It's not meant to be funny. It's meant to be interesting, and it usually is.

It's not written by the presenter alone. It's written mostly by others.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 806 ✭✭✭Atrocity

It gets worse and worse every week. His 'sarcasm' is not really that funny anymore. If it's just meant to be interesting, he should stop talking over the clips, I'd rather watch them without his commentary

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

caught the northern ireland version where hes was showing school educational films of baby chicks being gassed:D almost fell off the chair laughing, if was ****ing hilarious to think what they were showing 5yr olds back then. the idea of a whole classroom of traumatised kids looking at this justs creases me up with the whole political incorrectness of it now:)

Anyone see that one where he had Arthur Murphy of Mailbag fame on ?

    Brilliant.

The first series kept me sane in the land of no cable for three years.
I dunno though. I used to fall around the kip laughing at it. Not as good as it used to be I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,878 ✭✭✭bush

Its gone downhill a lot, not really that funny anymore. Tv burp is in another leauge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭cashback

Funnily enough, I think he's very good on BOO but not very funny at all on The Panel. Agree about the notepad thing, very annoying.
The TV review is the best bit by far in Blizzard. The made in Ireland part is quite good too.

Its usually written by him and some other fella but cant think of his name. As far as I know its a 2 man show

Everytime I turn it on Colin Murphy is always talking about some bad x-rated movie, like the other night it was " Lord of the G string" His comedy is not greaet forced and unoriginal, a bit like all the stuff thats on the panel tbh.
