DVD Copying Software

Can anyone recommend any good DVD copying software?

I have NERO but it will only copy CD's for me. I got Deepburner off a website, but it looks like it's mainly for creating CD's and DVD's.

I'm looking for something like NERO, where you can use a wizard that gives you options like, 1) Create CD/DVD, 2) Copy CD/DVD, and then you can work away from there.

    Thanks.

this is a groupe the has created what they call "Gordian Knot", a set of tools specifically for copying dvds and recodeing them to a Mpeg4 codec such as Xvid or Divx

There DVD Decrepter in my experiance with it is perfect for copying DVDs to the harddisk

DVD2ONE is good for recoding the DVD files to the 4.7GB DVD size

And then theres no problem using Nero for writing the new/resized files to a blank disk

    hope this helps

The best is dvd shrink to compress or edit the dvd to around 4gb , then burn with Nero . I prefer SmartRipper 2.41 but DVD Decrepter is very popular .

Dvd shrink is probably best free dvd copier. Its quite a slow process however. an average movie will take 3hrs and more.
sonic record now is very good. it doesnt copy the dvd onto your hard drive so its a lot quicker. It only takes around 20 mins and works the same way as burning a cd. the one drawback is that its not free. it cost around $29 though i seen it on ebay for $2 plus around 5 for postage. One other thing- if the movie you're copying is a bigger file that the 4.7 gb on a blank disc then it wont work, you cannot compress the movie to fit like dvd shrink though most movies wont exceed this in my experience.

any dvd/clone dvd is also good but costs a little more again and copied any dvd.

    I use one click dvd.

Put a blank dvd in your dvd recorder. Put the one you want to copy into your dvd rom.Click start and away it goes.

If I'm just backing up dvd then this is the simplest thing to use. Cost about $20 and is the only piece of software I've bought online

This thread is in a very grey area. Consider this as a warning not to bring it into a position where I have to close and ban people.
