Logic would tell me that they can't all die off in winter or the species would have died out pretty quickly....maybe this is a wise one that spent winter in the hive? :p

Well we had got a warm winter so that usually sets spring off really early.

I got stung in the head last week by a bloody wasp and I couldn't believe it! So yeah I don't know why they are flying around in January but I don't like it!

Got stung last Winter on the hand by an almost dead wasp. There was some nest in our attic so for the entire Winter and up until the summer there were half dead wasps crawling around the house every now and again. Put my hand on the banister next to the stairs and was sliding my hand down when I felt a sudden sharp pain. Looked down and there was a bloody wasp in between my thumb and index finger. Bloody sore.

Dont put ideas like that in my head. My room is an attic conversion and I got stung in bed!
