    Hi,

I have this place booked for an upcoming weekend but I cannot find a review of it on the internet for love nor money.

Any of you guys ever stayed there. If so what did ya think?

    Cheers,

    Mike.

Definitely not - its an average Irish town on the Laois/Kilkenny border. You could drive into Kilkenny - its around a half hour drive.

Castle Durrow is gorgeous - very romantic and the rooms are gorgeous. We were there in December for a friend's wedding and loved it. It ain't cheap, but what price romance (note to self - must point this out to husband for Valentines!!)

There's not a whole lot to do in Durrow itself, but get in the car & get driving during the day and then relax in luxury at CD in the evening

We stayed there for two nights about a year ago. The hotel is impressive, there's a distinctive victorian look and feel to the place, four poster beds in the rooms, etc. Staff were very friendly and chatty. We were also very impressed with the food. Would definitely go back again.
