I'm toying with the idea of moving to Permament TSB because, well I don't want to give my money to a bank unless I really have to.
So I just wanted to know of everyone's experiences with TSB or moving accounts to them.
    Is it difficult, any problems?

oh, and can you use any bank's ATM's to withdraw cash? My GF is with the EBS and she can only use AIB machines which is VERY annoying.

    Hi,
I moved to TSB from AIB over 2 years ago to avail of the free banking which TSB offered .Cannot fault TSB for anything, they helped me switch over and change direct debits .
Looking at my quartely statements i now save approx 40 euro per quarter by availing of TSB free banking
Cannot have a good word for AIB ,charge you at any opportunity but TSB have been true to their word
Got new laser cards and ATM cards from TSB , which work in any different bank ATM machine i have used

So in my view TSB free banking is really what it says .I got a cheque book also from them ,i dont even have to ring up to order a new one, they send it out

    Hope the above helps

Yeah, perfect for me too. I've had bad experiences with both BOI and NIB. A great extra that doesn't seem to be advertised with PTSB is that you don't get charged for withdrawals from ATMs in the Eurozone (except UK). Nice.

Credit card is great too and automatically appears on your Internet banking. Very easy to manage.

Will they take you if you already have an overdraft (and occasionally go over that ???)

    Thanks

I know they give you a free overdraft as long as you arrange it with them. I have a 100 euro limit I use for a buffer.
