Internet sources seem very unreliable when it comes to 360 releases so does anyone know for sure cause I want to get this.

Will be trading in PG3 against it, only bought it on a friends reccomendation and I hate it. I prefer a more arcade style turning system that this game seems to have.

I can't say for definite about the release date, but I'd suggest you download the demo if you haven't already, and also have a look at Need for speed most wanted, it's more "arcade" driving than "sim" and from what I've seen of both, a far better game.

It seems to be for sale already on play.com

Wouldnt bother with it, I think its pants, if you want an arcadey racing game go for Ridge Racer 6, or wait for Burnout 360.......

Download the Demo + see for yourself.........

The Full Auto demo stinks man, you'd be better advised getting either Ridge Racer or Need For Speed, I have both, they're great.

Burnouts also not too far off if you really want a Full Auto style game

I've played the demo and I actually liked it and the developer made it clear that the demo wasn't near finished code, it was the same demo they released with a magazine weeks before. He listed the features that were left out of the demo and there was quite a few including the weapon custimisation which I think I could have a lot of fun with. Plus if it's Live function is worth its salt it should be pretty fun to blast people away online.

I'm never sure on the Ridge Racer series, nearly bought it when it came out on impulse but held back. Haven't played a Ridge Racer since the PSone days, did play about half hour of the PSP version and didn't think too much of it.

I'm kind of only introducing myself to racing games cause I steered clear of them until I played Burnout which changed my tune. Definitely gonna get Burnout 360. Would love to get my hands on a next gen Twisted Metal or Destruction Derby.

Bit of an update on my previous post, found this on IGN.

    IGN:

"First and most importantly, Full Auto has been getting lots of attention in the gaming community since a playable, free demo was released on the Marketplace. This demo, contrary to what many may think, is an extremely OUTDATED version of the game. It was originally put together in August 2005, and since then the game has undergone graphical updates, control tweaks and framerate optimizations according to Producer Cord Smith of Pseudo Interactive. We were able to play the very same demo at X05 event in Amsterdam and their Zero Hour launch event, and the game has certainly progressed since then."

Oh ...so if a **** demo comes out they say its unfinished code...ahh makes sense.
Then you buy it and its magically great.

There are 2 sides of that coin, for instance the Fight Night demo has got a lot of praise and is probably going to be boosted in sales by its demo as I'm sure people who had never been exposed to the series before tried the demo out and liked it.

Though you will probably see more companies waiting until they have finsished code or until the game is actually released before putting out a demo.

Just read a review of this game on c4 text. Got 5/10. They said mario kart has more realistic handling. I saw it on the telly last night as well. It looks extremely shallow. Guns on cars?

Who says handling has to be realisitic?

    GameRankings.com gives it a 7.5 so far
Game Informer also gives a 7.5
    OXM a 5.5
    EGM a 8.0

So pretty mixed opinions so far, a marmite game.

I don't care much about handling, but the idea of paying 60-70 quid for a game that contains nothing other than mindlessly driving around blowing things up for no reason doesn't really appeal to me.

Does it still slowdown like it did on the demo?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

I like it. The single player is a tad repetitive but multiplayer is really fun. Play the containment level set to a head on start and you get a lot of frantic mayhem. Saying that, I will probably have moved onto another game in another motnhs time, especially with March's launch line up with Fight Night being my most anticipated game.

The slowdown isn't as often in the demo but it does happen when a lot happens on the screen all at the same time, seems to be rare though. Funnily enough this problem doesn't seem to happen online.
