Right this is what i've got
1 PC box connected to a swivel monitor.
People need control from either side of a window.
The present situation is that you unplug the keyboard and mouse from 1 side of window, turn monitor around and connect the mouse keyboard to the other side of window.

I want to eliminate having to unplug the keyboard and mouse.

Have looked at KVM's but they are designed for using 1 keboard\mouse to 2 PC's.

Have found Y cables on the net that will allow you to plug both into a single port. But there are recommendations that this could cause a conflict!!

Another idea is to use the present PS2 keyboard/mouse and also use a USB keyboard/mouse at the same time (only one would really be used at a time but both would be plugged in.)

Anyone ever do something like this. Would there be conflicts having 2 keyboards and 2 mice connected to the same PC?????

Any help or advise would be greatfully accepted

Sounds like you need something like an inverse KVM switch O_o

I've 2 mice plugged into my PC (not sure why) but they work perfect. Obviouly I dont use them at the same time, but whichever one I go for always works. One is PS/2 the other is USB.

Have an external keyboard plugged into my laptop alot of the time, and they work together no hassle. I'm sure a PS/2 and USB keyboard would work grand together.
