NTL Digital remote help

    Hi.
    Just got NTL digital installed... so far, good.
    But there's one strange problem with the remote. When i press channel up or down buttons it skips loads of channels. More specifically it lands on only certain channels, like RTE1 > TV3 > City123 > Euronews... etc.:mad:

    Anyone got a clue why this is happening and how to fix it:confused:

    The box hasn't been fully authorised by NTL yet.
    The system may be down their end of things.
    Make sure you leave the box powered up and check it now and again to see if the rest of the channels have come in.
    If the system is fine then it wasn't installed properly or there was a problem during the installation process.
    Installer is supposed to wait till all the channels are on or if there is a problem they should at least inform you.
    Or if you dare, give them a buzz on the 1800 number.They should be able to see whats going on with the box.

    Yeah, the guy left before the channels came on... just said to wait a half hour and they'll come on, which they did.
    I can get all the channels but i have to use browse or the guide to get them.
    Are they bad with customer support?

    Just reboot the box should sort it out.

    I think, (I THINK) this can happen when favourite channels are stored.
    They get stored as the first few numbers, ie. 1,2,3,4, etc.

    So when you channel up or down and come to where they should be......................they're gone!

    Not too sure about this, but check if any favourites have been stored by Mr. NTL.

    Sounds like the box needs re-booting.Just turn it off and back on. If doesn't work just call them and they will sort it.

    I read about The Remote on this forum. I though that people were telling tall tales. I had an experience with it about a week ago. Never again. I had to keep it perfectly still on an armchair because that was about the only position in which it worked.

    What's at fault here? The IR blaster on the remote or the decoder's IR receiver? Either way, I hope NTL resolve the issue.
