    Hey,
Anyone have any recommendations for hotels in Kilkenny? Its a one night stay (friday night) for anniversary with the GF. Someone recommended Langtons (€80 per person). Anyone second that?

    Any other ideas?

    Cheers,
    Quad

    Langtons is ok.

There's a new hotel called the Kilkenny Inn which is really nice. I'd also recommend Butler House for a bit of romance.
The River Court may be your best bet - right on the river with lovely views of the castle.
Hibernia is also worth a mention

Stay away from SpringHill Court, Newpark as they are too far out of town.

Ive been to Langtons and i would recommend it, even tho i think it is a bit pricey. Rooms are nice and spacious, nicely decorated. Depending on what ur into, u'll get free entry into the nightclub which seems to be 'the' place to go. They do lovely food in the bar and the atmosphere in the bar (which is seperate from the nightclub) is good. Its within walking distance to everywhere too. U mite even get a dinner included in that price, we did (and breakfast too of course - in bed :) )
