It's a joke. Well, it originally happened, but in the US. Check the motors forum.

Fake, it's just a joke, the pictures have been floating around for a while. The actual incident happened in America

What is really interesting is that it made it to page 3 of the Indo. If anybody ever wanted proof that the media don't do there research correctly there it is!

Never trust a paper on till you check the facts out yourself

Very clever. I'd seen it before, but whoever put it up mirrored the pictures so that the steering wheel would appear to be on the right-hand side. It's usually little mistakes like those that prevent hoaxes from propagating.

    This is old

the unfortunate thing is that these people are always loaded so they dont really give a toss, they write it off and get a bigger faster car.

(yes thats right, rich people have big cars and poor people have small cars, that saying was made up to make the poor feel better)

    :D

The *person* who originally posted the ad stateside missed an important aspect, tho' if indeed the original was copied verbatim.

"Idiot husband put car in my name" so in my innate superiority I covered it in paint in order to totally devalue my own asset.

Well it made page 3 in the indo today as someone pointed out and also made tv3 news!! Just to see what kind of research was done I rang the indo and spoke to the writer of the article who told me that CBG verified its authenticity!!! So I asked for her email and sent her the earliest copy of the pictures I could find on the internet dated 11/1/05 in Texas.!!! I don't think she will be too happy!!

-Indo :: would you like us to advertise your website in our paper, on page 3, for free?

-CBG :: whhy yes, yes we would.

I'd laugh if all the extra traffic crashes the site and they can't conduct any of their legit sales.....

some of the cars have been sold ages ago
    found that out myself earlier

cbg are parasites. They pestered me recently when selling a car. They have been known to frequent boards, and also buy and sell harvesting contact details in order to persuade would be sellers to advertise on their site for a one off fee.

I hate that "in your face" marketing bunk

Typical chick, In an emotional outburst, she destroys her own car. :D Joking aside I've seen it before. There was one woman in england sold her boyfriends Lotus for a tenner on ebay, though.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
