She is a sales manager a large English company based in London.
She told me the following things which I found amazing/shocking.

    1) She tells me that whenever she has a meeting with all her staff she makes them start the meeting with 5 minutes of aerobics-style stretching / exercises. This is compulsory. I laughed out loud when she told me this and said it sounded like an ep of "the Office" She said it promotes an effective and happy meeting and helps get rid of peoples frustration. I can see some slight merit in this.

    2) The company is being re-organised. She has to write a "passion letter" about each of her employees essentially spelling out why they should continue to have jobs in the post-re-organised set-up.

Would be interested in hearing how common these practices are in Ireland and am I the only one who thinks this kind of thing is 100% nuts?

    Yes it is nuts.

A company which we do the audit for, every monday morning they come in and stand around in a group, then sing and dance basically making complete idiots of themselves. Its supposed to create a good working environment & TBH it's worked in our client's office.
