well we got our budget allocation and after consultation with our committee (shoutman) we agreed that the priority is to replace the poker chips we currently use with decent chips.

    What we need:
    600 x Red Chips
    600 x Blue Chips
    300 x White Chips
    200 x Black Chips
    100 x Green Chips
    2000 Chips Total.
Good weight and feel to them, not cheap plastic (we have that!)
They can be branded - but must not be numbered.

    What we can offer:
    * some money!! €150 is our feeder bet, to see where we are...
    * direct exposure to 150 poker playing students, this is of particular interest to any poker software guru's that want to advertise to poker players of the future!
    * if you provide poker chips to us your company logo will be seen by every student that plays poker in DIT for the foreseeable future.
    * ackowledgement of your support for student poker in our frequent emails to all our members.
    * peace of mind!

ok, thats the best pitch i can come up with at this hour.... let me know of any interest.

Check your chip numbers. That adds to 1800.

I guess it would be nearer €1500 than €150 for good quality chips.

That's a lot of chips. Do you have 90 players?

I know before when the Fitz had chips for sale they were doing them for €40 for 500 set. i can't remember the colours/amounts, but I know they were not numbered. If they are still doing them, or getting them back in stock then you would get 2000 for €160, pretty much on budget.

I know there are loads of other places that you can get them for similiar prices too, and there have been discussion threads on those places, so do a search.

Hi im president of the National College of Ireland poker society,
we picked up two cases of 500chips, 13.5g (heavier than normal chips which are 11.5g), from special days in liffey valley, €69 each. Easily the best buy out there in my opinion. http://www.specialdays.ie/

    Cases work out 150white, 150red, 100bule, 50green, 50black.
But you can ask them to swap behind the counter for different colours to suit what you want.

Im interested in starting a inter-college tournament in the near future, if you wish to contact me my email is flynner13@gmail.com. Hopefully we can set one up.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
    -Ian
