What do you guys recommend when it comes to effects processing software? I got cubase but the stock effects that are with arent worth anything. I'm looking for a real proffesional programme or plug in, any ideas?

Well I've tons of freeware and commerical ones. A lot of the analog modelled effects like PSP Vintage Warmer are very nice, you should try a few of them.

http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/ - Loads of distortation and sound mangling tools

If you can get your hands on it, Izotope Trash is also a really good distortion plugin.

For reverb, try a plugin called Ambience. Really heavy on the CPU but it sounds lush.

Go to http://www.kvraudio.com/, you'll find news on different plugins. Some of the free ones are better than the commercial ones. Not many though :)

If ur looking for a professional program then Logic is the way 2 go. It's expensive & hard to get into but if u persist you'll benefit greatly. Comes with loadsa plug-ins.
