they have a price list which is nearly the same size as the yellow pages itself, you can pay anything from 200 euro to 50k

    Few things to remember

If you buy now the will be in the 2007 version
The prices you see are for one region only eg 01
01 is more expensive the other phone areas

You pay extra to get on the website
you pay extra to get your email address on your ad on the website etc etc

google doesn't search the golden pages site very well, you will see the search result but when you click it you are brough to a dead link.

I rang last year, left the name and number and someone rang me back about two months later.

I paid 5K for a 1/4 page full colour ad last year in the 01 directory

I paid about Eur2,000 for a business card sized ad and a web listing in the 2006 01 directory. It paid for itself, but dealing with the people at Golden Pages is hard work. They have worse customer service than Eircom, they missed meetings to discuss the ads, sent samples to the wrong address, added errors to the finished ad I supplied several times and on the whole took up an innordinate amount of my time.

They are only interested in speaking to people about placing ads when it is coming up to the close of taking ads, if you are a small business then you will find in the month coming up to your renewal that you are getting lots of phone enquiries, these are the people golden pages employ to call people and make enquires about their business and say they got the no in gloden pages so you think it's working and you will renew your subscription

From what I can gather they are making some fundamental changes to the way they run ads on the online version, so it's probably a good time to look at that option. I've been talking to them about it over the last week.Give their online sales team a call and ask for Graham - nice guy who actually knows what he is talking about
The print edition is a bit of a pain as your ad won't be viewed until the new editions are circulated in 2007, so you won't see any return until after they've been in circulation for a couple of months....
