was playing a tourney last week & an interesting incident came up! After the flop, 3 players left in the hand. Player in position 1 raises & before player 2 has a chance to make his decision player 3 exposes both of his whole cards. Dealer declared the hand dead as and the play went on between the other 2 players. Any thoughts? Was this the right decision?

I dont think his hand should be declared dead; I think he can play on if he wants (but why would he?). The resident dealers should clarify.

If he exposed them on purpose (not thinking it was a showdown) they can be called dead. Otherwise its up to whoever to say whatever.

    On purpose = dead.
It really really annoys me when players do this. Hussein is a terror for doing it. IMHO its cheating and they should be warned too. </my opinion>
