OpenOffice can create PDFs, do you have a specific need for the full Acrobat?

I'd imagine it's heaper direct from them.

we have the full versions in work and they are the biz for working on other pdfs however like the others say, there are free creators like cute pdf, i use this at home all the time, its very good., I think i paid 700 euro for pro and 500 euro for standard

Cheers lads. I tried to download that free one but it froze my machine so I had to get rid of it!!! Reckon I'll just have to bite the bullet & pay the 500 quid or whatever it is!!

I use Cutewriter PDF at home and work, plus it's installed on loads of other peoples PCs, and it works fine. It's also free. There's no need to buy the full acrobat suite just for a PDF writer, that's a complete waste of money.

If you need to, Acrobat does also allow you to edit PDFs but it's not even very good at that.

Try a couple of different yokeys before shelling out that much for something that you can get for free (well, very similar functionality.)

I'm the same as jor el, i use cute pdf on loads of PCs and never a problem, you just have to install two files one after the other in any order its simple. We use the full version fo Adobe acrobat for combining PDFs and the pro version for dealing with scaled architect drawings. But for turning excel, word, web pages etc cute pdf is fine

You basically print to it and it produces the .pdf

I use cute pdf on loads of PCs too, its very handy, due to some sort of licencing issue you need to download and install two files they work in any order. We use Adobe acrobat standard for combining pdfs etc and Adobe acrobat pro for scalled CAD drawings that have been converted to pdf.
For word, excell , web pages etc cute pdf works very well.

If your pc cant handle it , I'd nearly spend the 500 euro on a new one and get the software for free ... (obviously you prob dont need a new pc , but then again you might)

    PDFCREATOR TBH

pdf995 deserves a mention as it's very esay to setup and use, even if it does display an ad in IE every time you print (thats why it's free)

Don't bother searching for otherrs as are a gaggle of me too pdf printers that are shareware in the sense they are't free or have watermarks.
