I was wondering about getting the most out of windows media centre edition PC.

    Bar
    DVD player
    TV recorder
    Music
    Internet DIvx etc

I can game on mine as its a decent processor and graphics card,
apart from this but how does everyone else get the most from theirs. I was thinking of some geeky games like trivial persuit, it would look good on the big screen when people call around even scrabble, those of us who have built/bought a media pc must have other things they do with them, whats the deal with the sing along stuff, it that any good?

    Anyone any ideas to add?

Being as it can be on more often than not and also mine is set for idle shutdown 2 things that spring to mind are as an overnight p2p client, or as a remote access client when you are out of the house.

I also intend getting some console-alike games when my new tv arrives.

thats not a bad idea, for remote access, I've recently networked the house, and i was thinking of running an old P3 for the remote access as my media PC is a bit of a killer on the power usage, I was also thinking of an old game of space invaders alright.

A host of SNES games would be worth the trouble alright
I ordered scrabble and trivial persuit last night on ebay.

    ebooks are an idea

Can you get nice skins for the music player?

There's a mame plugin for MCE so you can play it from the gui, and using the remote if memory serves (which it might not)
