hi. looking for advise on an acoustic guitar that i would like to buy.

    budget approx 400.

i generally just mess about on it but like playing arrpagio(can't spell), and bits of classical and occasionally belt out the bar chord classics.:D

looking for high sound quality, low action, easy string manipulation. does not need a particularly loud sound. cutaway fairly essential but if there was a good enough one i could do without it. i'd like some proper wood in it......

i'm no expert when it comes to guitars so i'm leaving it up to youz to recommend any good ones.

i know i should just go into the shops and play around with them all but i'd like some initial guidance./

    thanks.

The Taylor Big Baby isn't bad for the money and its €400 from Thomann but its doesnt have a cutaway.

Tanglewoods are also pretty good for the money and also within your budget.

Taylor Big Baby - sounds great, easy to play (its 15/16ths the size of a regular acoustic, and taylor recommends lighter guage strings as a result, making it very friendly to play, plus it has a lovely slinky neck), solid top (this means a lot in this price range), american made.

Its doesnt have a cutaway, but otherwise its the biz.

I've also taken an interest in the Canadian made Art & Lutherie acoustics. Check them out.

The Epiphone EJ-200 Cutaway Electro Acoustic at 425 is pretty good ..it plays like an electic ie suited for picking, has a good sound and you can even bend the strings - I have my sights on one. Try Waltons they do em.
