mpg question

    was wondering, is there a program that will make my mpg smaller and keep quality of picture

    can you not convert the mpg into divx?

    the size is currently 1.3g, was hoping to make it a bit smaller than that don't think converting it to avi will make that much of a difference

    You could try to transcode it to DivX or XviD as suggested above but you'll only get good results if the original mpg file is of decent qualty. If it is a very high quality source (ie. close to DVD quality) then you can save a lot of space. If it's of low/mediocre quality then you'll run into a problem whereby different codec's are lossy in different ways and could end up with a much worse end product.

    its not dvd quality, but its pretty good. thanks leeroy, i'll give that a try
