ok I'm trying to get my mate with teh nitrotek car over for a bit of a bash to pit my stormracer against it, but through no fault of his own he couldn't make it .... but when we do get together, expect some nice video. I even called him and let him hear the Stormracer ticking over to taunt him heh ! So expect video soon :)
    Welcome back Coolwings :-)

My tmaxx **** a brick the other day :(
Started hearing some funny clicky noises under braking, then it started to get worse. Ran out of fuel and when I was pushing it back to the house i realised that the drivetrain was sticking somewhere. Not all the time, just every now and again. Thought it was the tranny at first but after some investigation it seemed to be the rear dif that was binding.

Started her up again but it got stuck almost straight away and ended up stripping the spur gear. Whats worse is that the shaft going into the gearbox seems to have gotten bent as well. Haven't had time to operate on her yet but looks like it could be a major operation!

    PS
Anyone got any advice on keeping screws tight? Since I put Integy aluminium bulkheads in I've had problems with the screws connecting it to the chassis loosening and falling out. Thought about putting a bit of locktite or something on them but was worried about not being able to get them open then!

Use threadlock (similar to cellulose varnish & removable) , but not Bearing lock (similar to superglue and permanent).

yeah what coolwings said, I used it on my stormracer after a few mishaps and it totally sorted stuff out, no more loose shafts.
My HPI 25 engine arrived this morning .... hopping up the wee savage from a 21bb engine .... watch this space !
    T
    *edit*
On the second tank running in as we speak!!

You could try the wifes nail polish, works just like locktight.
