What is your favourite email account? I'm thinking of shutting down my Hotmail account because of the spam and using my Gmail account on a full time basis? I can't think of any real advantages of Hotmail.

Yeah, it seems that Gmail is the top of the pack. I've had my account for a year, and I haven't got one spam yet! Recently hotmail hasn't been receiving some of my mails and the same thing has been happening to others. Hotmail has to be the worst email account.

I use my Gmail account for signing up to websites and things. It actually gets a lot of spam at this stage, but the trap seems pretty effective.

My regular email address is simply myfirstname@mysurname.ie. And you can't beat that with a big stick to be perfectly honest.

Gmail with this handy little program called Gmail Drive - allows you to use your gmail account as an extra drive on your PC so you can copy/paste or drag/drop to your hearts content!

Handy that is, check this out, It allows you to configure Gmail so it will come into Outlook Express, you can send and receive from Outlook without having to log-in or out the whole time, (handy if your on Dial-up) You can also set-it so that everything you send and receive is logged in the webmail so if Outlook Express crashes or you get a Virus and have to re-format all your important emails will be stored on the webmail version. (which can then be re-downloaded as necessary) You just have to configure your account in the webmail version as shown here first.

What I also love about Gmail is the Gmail Notifier. Each time you receive a new mail you get an alert on the bottom RHS of your screen.
