The only person who can tell you that is a medical professional, I suggest you go talk to your gp or DR.

    Google 'signs of depression'.

    http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=%22signs+of+depression%22

    Then refine your search.

You should get better information than by asking that question here.

Well for me the signs of depression are:
    • Constantly feeling fatigued.
    • Waking up in the morning just as tired as you were the night before.
    • You struggle to leave the house.
    • You loose interest in the things you normal like to do.
    • You take less pride in personal hygiene and appearance.
    • You stop socialising.
    • You basically have no interest in doing anything.
    • Always feeling low.
    • Wanting to scream and cry for no reason.
    • In severe cases, you have thoughts of suicide.
These are the general symptoms of depression!

Why not go to your Dr and tell him you are worried you may be sufferering from depression - he will ask you to describe your behaviour/symptoms and then he will make a diagnosis or a suspected diagnosis and refer you.....Dr's are the only people that should be making these kinds of judgements.....not leaving the house could be laziness, depression or it could be a sign of some other illness......Best of luck :)

Eeyore the Donkey reminds me of depression...if that helps

A doctor's the place to go (really, they're not that bad). I'd say though that if you're depressed, you're sad as well as apathetic?

It sounds likely. My sister was a lot like this before she was diagnosed with
depression. I behave the same way if my depression gets bad. A person
feeling normal and happy does not usually do this. You should talk to an
expert to find out - get a referral to a psychiatrist from your GP for a
    proper diagnosis.

You need to go online to do this test.

Here is a qoute of thes questions. The answers are NOT yes /no. One answers with: Not at all, Only slightly, Partly, Quite a lot, A lot, To a great extent.
There are no right or wrong answers. There are your answers, my answers, Joe Blogg's answers, and so on. Honesty is a must.

    I do everything slowly.
    My future seems hopeless.
I find it hard to concentrate when I read.

All joy and pleasure seem to have disappeared from my life.
I find it hard to make decisions.
I have lost interest in things that used to mean a lot to me.

I feel sad, depressed and unhappy.
I feel restless and cannot relax.
    I feel tired.
I find it hard to do even trivial things.

I feel guilty and deserve to be punished.
    I feel like a failure.
I feel empty - more dead than alive.

My sleep is disturbed: Too little, too much or disturbed sleep.
I wonder HOW I could commit suicide.
    I feel confined and imprisoned.

I feel down even when something good happens to me.
I have lost or gained weight without being on a diet.

Is that a list of signs of depression or how to tell if you are a proper IT guy? :D:D

No one can answer the question better than yourself anyway... so are you depressed?
