I can't receive or make calls at the moment. Been like that for at least 30 minutes.
    Just me?
On NTL BB, and my internet connection is fine (obviously as I can post this!)
    Cheers.

If it's still a problem, reset the router.
This has happened quite often to me.

Quite often? Is that not a significant problem?

More of a pain. I know the issue is on my side, as it's fine when i reset.
It's on the list, just not near the top yet...

Most of my service availability problems have been down to my router also, its a bit of a pain. I have a lynksys WRTG wireless router/ATA thingy that I got from Blueface. Lost service last Friday, and had to reset the router to get it back up again. I was at work at the time too, so I know I was missing calls to home for the duration.

Anyone have any fixes or sugestions for this ? How can I check for firmware upgrade for my router as well ?
    Regards,
    Wexfordman

    Sorry for late reply guys.
Problem from initial thread was my fault in the end. Or rather my 2 year olds. She had plugged the telephone wire out of the Phones Base unit. I should have checked this straight away, but as I had the same kind of problems others seem to be having on Thursday / Friday, I just presumed it was fully down, as I had reset router but this didnt fix the problem. Wonder what is causing this?

when you say 'reset router' to get it sorted, do you mean just pull the plug out and then put it back in or do you mean pressing and holding down the reset button?

Doing a full reset would be a major pain in the ass cos itd mean having to setup all the settings, and particularly port forwarding again.

Sorry, what I meant was 'pull the plug', not a reset.
