Need help with bluetooth dongle

I plugged in a bluetooth dongle and it installed fine but when I "double click" on it or "right click" and "View bluetooth network devices" I get this message saying " An unexpected error occurred. Please contact your system administrator" What could be wrong?

What O/S are you using? If XP is it SP1 or SP2? Did you get specific Bluetooth software with the dongle and if so, did you install it?
