Looking for opinions on this one, What would be inclined to do here in the heros position? Table time with Villan is 30 mins and you've seen him make a good call so he seems decent.

    Thanks

What hands has he shown down? Any indication as to what a raise to 2.50 means pre-flop?

His flop bet smacks of weakness, but having been raised on the flop he comes out firing again on the turn which suggests that even if he wasn't too happy about his hand on the flop he is confident about it now. when you don't raise him on the turn it's a lot easier for him to bet big on the river.

I am inclined to smooth call. I think the two most likely hands for the villian to have (in my opinion, given the action) are 9T and 33. He could well have flopped a set as well, but that flop bet is just so small I think it's either the nuts or nothing. I believe AQ would have bet more on the flop.

EDIT/ Misread the hand, so it's likely that none of this applies!

I don't play alot of cash games, but 33 seems an unlikley holding here, do players usually you raise with 33 and call a re-raise with 33 on that sort of board?

I'm not doubting your analysis just intrested to know.

I raise maybe 10% of the time with 33 and fold to a decent bet on the flop if I miss, so i agree that 33 is pretty unlikely, as i think its very unusual play if thats what he held.

Raise more on the flop. Bet more on the turn. Him check raising on the turn might worry me, I'd call him down anyway. As well as a set or straight, he can have an overpair or some kind of bolloxy 2 pair. He also has AK of clubs or AT of clubs a lot here. If he was a rock you could fold here, I don't think you can tell that online after 30 minutes.

I find it really hard to read these history files.

    But how and ever.

I fold QJs to an EP raise (from a reasonably good player) most often, its a trouble hand.
However, having got to the flop, raising is good, but make a proper raise, make it pot sized, about 12-15. If he calls this and check/raises the turn, I am not a happy camper, but I stack off most often.
I figure that an EP small raise is usually AA/KK, so I pay him if he has QQ/JJ.

At these levels - I stack off here, but I do it before the river.
