Made a Cpu up the day before yesterday

    Everything works perfect

One little niggling problem though that maybe one of yes can help me out on

In my taskbar down the bottom i have the icon for "safely remove hardware".
    Fine
However , what it is asking me if i want to remove is my C: Drive.
    Btw, the drive is 'internal'

    I read somewhere
think its by design on the newer motherboards that support SATA2 which either are or will be hot-pluggable - just as USB drives are - and so they appear in the system tray in like manner.

Can anyone confirm this ?? Or is there a way to get rid of that stupid thing.
Its just annoying is all,

    All help appreciated,

Btw, my new motherboard does support this SATA II RAID that the guy was talkin about

Try going to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. Now open the Properties for your C:, and tick the box under the Policies tab "Optimize for Performance" instead of "Optimize for quick removal", just a suggestion, may or may not work.

SATA does support hot swapping as an option, hence the icon is legitimately there.

You can hide the icon, right click your task bar, and choose properties, choose customize, from the list select the icon, and set to "always hide". You can still use the small arrow on the system tray to show it again briefly.
