    Do you know anybody that would not spend christmas ? Avoids there round in the pub ? Still has their communimn ? money Etc ? Here is a few examples of various people I have known over the years.... I used to work with a guy,where if we went to the pub for a work thingy, he would always head straight for the toilet, so he did not have to buy the first drink..same for the second round..he worked on the theory that if there was 5 of us, the bar would be closed before it was his round...My sister dated (briefly) a guy who, if they went for a sunday drive, would leave an envelope on the seat so she could put her share of the petrol money in it!!.A friend shared a flat with a guy who would put a pencil mark on the milk bottle in case anyone took some ! My own son who is nearly 3 is showing some signs of this, When in a shop yesterday he bawled for a packet of king crisps, I got them for him,opened them for him,asked him for 1...Blue Fuc**n murder !! I hope I am not rearing one of the above !! Mark

    i must say, i know of a few tightarses, and its not that they dont have money or anything but they sponge when they can and leggit when its their time to cough up, its funny tho because with some people, like myself i would be the first to head for the bar and get a round

    I have met these people over 10 yrs.. I am always first to the bar...And last too !!! I just hate mean people.. I have finished relationships with stunners... Because they are mean.... !!!

    one of my best friends is like that. we just laugh it off. if he tries to get out of a round we shame him into going to the bar. he never pays his share in cabs though. always he first out of the car and never offers to pay. he's loaded.

    He is deaf..Really ! so I tend to let him away with more than I did my first child..My first was out of nappys at this stage..But Cian is taking longer, But getting there ! ! :):)

    I'm Not stingy I'm just Careful With My money!!! I Personally am somebody who consistantly saves money in my bank account for no real reason but i'm not as bad as some of those people you mentioned. i still see myself as someone who is a bit tight. I'd never take money of a girlfriend and i buy my friends lunch sometimes.

    When I was 19 I went on hols with a girl I had been friends with since we were about 12, I never realised how mean she was till we went away together,
    she used to label any food or drunk she bought and mark the content levels, and when we went out for dinner, she never ordered food, she would just pick from everyone elses plates.
    She really had no shame!

    there's a difference between saving money micky like you do , na dpeople who won't get a round in, sounds to me that you wouldn't go out in the first place if you didn't have the money, so fair play, but i used to work with a guy, man, even when there was just two of us out for a beer after work i'd be gaggin for a drink before he'd offer, i used to have to bite the bullett and order,
    i wised up though and always made my excuses and left if he wasn't buying, it's easier to go somewhere else
