    Hi All,

I am getting a fairly significant extension built onto the house. Planning is almost complete and its time to start putting the job out to tender.

Im interested in anyone elses experiences so I can learn what not to do and what to watch out for!!...

In the first instance, I am preparing information kits for each builder. Basically a set of drawings and a description of the work. What else should I be stating at this stage (eg: what things should I be asking the builder to comment on / take into consideration, number of sockets per room, finishing details etc...)....whats the norm here?

Also, from your own experience of doing similar renovations, what things would you recomend that I do/dont do/watch out for!

    Thanks for the help!
    Jab
