    Hi all,
Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype, Sightspeed are all video conferencing applications that work via the internet. If you have no internet, these don't work.
I want to do some videoconferencing where there is no internet access and connect to the other party by inputing an IP address.
Has anyone ever tried this and what applications should I be looking at ?

You could call around and see the person :)

    John

AFAIK, Netmeeting does it. Not much of a big call for in-office video conferencing though.

as lump says if its a LAN (LOCAL area network), couldn't you just walk into the next room and talk to the person?

Thanks for the advise. I know I could walk to the other person but I'm a techie and I'm determined to use technology to do this !!!!

I'll try out Netmeeting and see how it goes!
