Does one have to be a student of Trinity college to do this? If not how would one go about signing up for it. As a long time user of MDMA I would be very interested in taking part in this!

    What survey is this?

Psychology department are doing a survey on long term ecstasy users. I'm unsure as to whether they have enough people already or if they need people to perform the survey on. Apparently they give you a 30 euro book voucher for doing it but I have little interest in the voucher.

This is what happens when trinity makes the news :p

I am fully aware of that and that was not my intention.

lol - i misinterpreted the 'E' in E survey for 'electronic' - now that's a bit too geeky!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

what i meant by that was people noticed the survey when it got coverage and went "ooh, i can do that!".

as for the survey, iirc the research guinea pig period is over - havent seen any posters left around lately.

Well I would have thought was the norm and the general idea behind advertisement :)

It wasn't advertisement though, it was the Irish Mirror sensationalising the whole thing, saying something along the lines of "TCD pays people to take ecstasy!" which it's not at all.

I'm not saying it was advertised but he seemed suprise that people took an interest when it got media coverage/exposure to it. It's quite normal behaviour :)

I would have been very interested in taking part.

I thought it was the Sun, but then I realised they wouldn't be able to fit that many words on the front page.

Maybe you should take a good long look at yourself, and ask yourself why you're so bitter. Didn't get the points to get in? Your own inverse snobbery made you cut off your nose to spite your face? Seriously, get over it.

I heard it had been suspended?

I'm not bitter. Jeez can you not take a bit of banter? Lighten up for f*ck's sake.

anyway, i heard the guy who's doing the survey say on the radio he'd never touch E cause it damages the brain.... i never saw any posters about it around campus 'advertising' it, just read about it in the paper

In light of previous such delights from you I highly doubt that's the case.

My best friend actually goes to Trinity and we take the piss out of each other all the time. I didn't realise people on here were so sensitive though.

Not as far as I know, I think they're finished with the actual data collecting (and hence need for participants) and are just processing it all.

There were posters around college asking for any students who took ecstasy on a regular basis to contact the psychology department.
