Just in case anyone's interested in movies with Irish connections. This old spaghetti western has a scene set in Toner's, Baggot Street. It's on TG4 tonight.

I remember seeing it before and thinking that looks like Toner's, checked it out and it was. Interesting considering most of the movie is set in the Wild West.

Pity TG4 (home of better movies) shows it 4:3 ratio.

This was on TG4 again last night. I thought it was brilliant. Sergio Leone has such a style of his own. And James Coburn is one of my favourite actors. His accent was typical Oirish but then again all the accents in the film were over the top. Favourite scene was where when they ambush the army on the bridge.

Oh yeah and Ennio Morricone's score amazing as usual. The man was a genius. I love the way Leone uses long scenes of no dialogue tell their own story through the cinematography and music

I saw that, ffs once upon a time (geddit?!) it was never on now its never off.

Who has the worst accent though? Coburn or Steiger?

Sabata is on Bravo at 3 (and 4pm).

Ya TG4 always shows this film. But I always watch it when they do. Its fantastic. One of the best westerns ever made. Really gritty and sets great tones throughout. I love that bridge scene too. Great that it has an Irish connction aswell. Didn't know that it was Toner's, I was only in there for the first time a few weeks ago.
