dvd encoding/decrypting help please!

i tried just now to rip dvd and put it on ipod... but things went a little wrong. i have no money :P so i had to use free software and trials. i used dvd decrypter to rip and dvd shrink to compress. i then got the movie in multiple vob files and tried running them through trial imTOO movie converter but it seems i did not get all of them, the sound was off in some of the files and missing from others. before i found this screw up i was goin to join them with trial mpeg joiner. this was all very messy and cleary didnt work:mad: are there simpler ways of doin this... please help, ive been at this for a good while

i have some software that will do that for you and an instruction booklet.
first you need dvdshrink and then nero recode i can send u the instruction's on how to do it if you want.

yeah! that would be great, thanks... is nero recode free? this whole process would be easier with a credit card :P my main trouble is combining the vob files i get from the dvd into one file...

that could be useful, thanks... but are their limitations on the trial? thats what gve me probs before and like i siad no money is there a straight forward way of doin this for free?
