If anyone is interested in playing this, there has been a change of set up.

To access the game, in the Main Lobby click "Private Games", then click "Search" and enter "poker_ie"

Quick, there is only a few players registered and there is a $1500 prize pool.

I thought players had to get a certain amount of raked hands?

    A quick summary of what happened;

Prima made a processing error and set our freeroll as a network wide game. Needless to say it filled up within seconds.

In a blind rush another game was set up to not have the game cancelled. Just so happened that we didnt have enough time to spread the word enough.

Again, apologies to anyone who wanted to play but couldnt. We will hold another one soon and I can assure you I will be making sure the same mistake isnt made again.

Players would still have had to have played a certain amount of raked hands right.?
Its unlikely they could have fitted them in in short notice. Maybe it was just the raked hands guys you were appealing to initially?.

Yeah initially we did have the raked hands requirement. But this was changed approximately an hour before registration was to begin (which was set at 6 originally), because there was confusion for some players on what the requirements were (theres a difference between freeroll raked hand and regular raked hand, that a lot of players werent aware of). All players who had registered were sent an email notifying them of the no raked hands requirement, in order to allow them to get their seat quickly. Then it was to be announced publicly at 6.30 that there was no requirements.

But Prima made the error of making it network wide, so we had to quickly set up a private game freeroll, with no raked hands required, email everyone again sending the password so the Prima players wouldnt surf to Poker.ie, get the pw and do the same thing...

Hence the reason we were late posting here

Your taking the piss right :(

I seen this today in tournaments thread, Just I haven't got a chance to lodge any money into the prima network yet, would have loved to played it only i seen you needed a certain amount of ranked hands :(

Any way, who won and what where the payouts ? Only 10 people showed, and the money was spread between the 10 ?

I'm not gonna deny that this did'nt all develop in a very messy fashion. The only thing I can say is that it was largely beyond our control and the way it went left us little time to do anything about it. No excuse really, but rest assured it wont be happening again. We will be holding another one shortly, details will be announced soon.

I would also appreciate if people, who know that the sub-forum exisits, didn't take advantage of the main forum in any case by posting this here. I'm resisting for about the 200th time saying anything about someone actually typing "I seen" never mind saying it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,850 ✭✭✭Cianos

I posted it in the main forum because it was an urgent message with only a few mins to go before the tourney began and it was much more likely for players to see it in the main forum rather than the sub-forum.

    Sorry for any inconveniance caused.

I understand that Cian but we have to at some point rely on the fact that those that care will be looking in the correct forum. The main forum lists this forum at the very top and shows the latest post. It would/should be seen by anyone visiting the main forum. Time will tell.
