Playing against drunks

I'm trying to figure out if the wild variance is worth playing these tables, which can sometimes be lucrative vs sometimes being totally frustrating. Friday nights at the SE in the 50 Hold-Em is a fine example, where often 7 of 9 players are locked, and half of them are loaded and like to flash cash.

When do you tighten up or loosen up? I haven't come to any consistent opinions on it yet. Is he a calling station or does he have a hand? Is he as overly aggressive in his made hands as he is with his bluffs? Getting any reads or expecting any consistent play is folly.

A quick Omaha example: guy calls a €500 all-in river bet against my nuts (ace flush). Next hand, board is A-A-5 and I am holding 5-5. He bet 60, I reraised 240, he went all-in for €750. I called, knowing I would see an Ace...but not the case 5 as well.

Well these are people you want.

You have to take your time and bonuce when the time is right.

You might take a hit or two but overall you should win which is the most important thing.
