    Folks,

I have the chance to get a Nikon D50 from the US , but Im a bit worried about the charger voltage, I know most chargers are 100v – 240v but Nikon seem to have a En-El3A battery in the states and an En-El3E battery in Europe - just wondering if someone with a D50 can put my mind to rest !!!!!!
Anyone got one from the US?? Is it 100-240v input?

    Thanks!

If it's the same charger as the D70s (MH-18A) then yes its 100-240V.

EDIT: Just checked on a US site and it's the same so you're OK

Hey was looking at the exact same camera out here last nite, where you getting it and what price?? I'm shopping around for the best value at moment and just started looking. Is D50 one of best around?

The EN-EL3e batteries are just slight improvements on the predecessors, the EN-EL3 and 3a, i.e. just higher capacity, the physical charactersitics are identical. The charger is the same though, i.e. the MH-18a for all these batteries, and it's 100-240v, 50-60Hz. The other thing will maybe be that you'll have the wrong plug on the charger lead, but you can either snip it off and put a 13A plug on, buy an adapter, or just buy a replacemant lead with a moulded plug (it's a standard IEC type, so you may, like me have a few of these lying about already).

Great, Yeah I can live with sticking a three pin plug top on alright!

The D50 is a decent slr in the lower price range, most of the reviews say a great camera to get started with and from checking it out , it has everything I need at a price im happy to pay!

Im getting it in B&H in new york, its probably not the cheapest place in the US to get it but a friend of mine is going over and he's picking up some stuff himself and offered to get me the D50.

650 dollars + 8% sales tax , still cheaper than any online european store.
