Anybody know much about this place? Is it worth a look at, I fancy it for the scenery and food going by webpages.

There is a diving school near Cagliari - in a place called Muravera, that is run by an Irish couple. I think it is called Oceantec.

Traditionally the northern part of the island is more popular with tourists (resort country) but if you are into wildlife there is much to see across the rest of the island. The sea off the south east coast is also designated as a marine reserve. The island is arid, and the native vegetation largely maquis, but it has its own beauty.

Best to invest in a decent guidebook on the region to suss out the aspects of the island that will interest you.

I spend a week in Sardinia last summer and loved it.
Stayed in Alghero for the most part.
Didn't have a full license so couldn't rent a car or a bike unfortunately.
But still loved it, I will definitely go back.
