rent relief, student, 6 month rent

    if a foreign student rents a room in a house, for 6 months, and doesn't work, pay tax, can they claim rent relief?

    (their parents pay the rent)

    If you do not pay tax you can not claim tax relief.

    Are their parents resident and paying tax here?
