Playing in a 15 seat STT. down to the last 5 players and I'm extremely short stacked with 530 chips. Blinds are 75/150. I'm dealt Q8o in the SB. I toyed with the idea of going all in but just flat called. BB (5500 chips) checked and we were the only 2 in the hand.

    Boards comes up QQQ

Guaranteed to take the pot down.

    Will All-IN scare BB off?

Well I'm guessing he miss the flop and if he had a pair or an ace, he would have push you on preflop, so check it to the river and hope he hits and bets, maybe try an extraction bet on the river to make it look like a steal to get some money from the pot.

Hmmm... the preflop call is TERRIBLE! (I don't mean any offence by that but it was!) It's a push with any two cards preflop for you there. You are far too short stacked to be able to play any real poker.

Now that the flops down... hmmm... I expect your image must be kind of eh... passive at the moment so I'd slow play and hope the BB hits something or takes a stab at the pot. Obviously by the time the river comes your chips have to go in there though.

Like i said i was on the verge of All in then decided to call but was going to the wire if raised. He decided not to raise so i was happy to see a flop and survive another short orbit. I should have mentioned there are 2 other players who are below 1k chips as well so I'm hanging in for the money as best i can.

Its not really answering your post-flop question but your pre-flop is all wrong.
If you were going to call a pre-flop raise anyway, then get them all-in first and you have 2 ways to win. If you want to hang in for the money as best you can then fold. Dont flat call.
As for post flop, the earlier replies are on the nail.

Slightly tangental to the topic........... I had 77 last night in the SB in round of each game. I call a raise of 15, 4 players in total see the flop. Flop comes 677 :D . Checked around, turn is Q, checked to original raiser who bets pot (65), I call. River is 8, I bet 50, after a possible holdings muse I get called. Nice.

Sorry, on topic, choosing to play this hand by limping is bad (unless huge money at stake by moving up placings). Betting into this board before the river is even worse once it came like that.
