Doing a Bapco Sysmark evaluation of a PC.

In general if I use a single 512MB Dimm will it be faster (give a better score) or slower than 2 single 256MB Dimms everything else being equal ?

Trying to settle a bet so a link to an official reference would be helpfull.

    Thanks

depends if it is a dual channell system u have, if so 2 x 256 (duall channel mode) will be faster then 1 x 512 (single channel mode)

Seems it's a dual channel SDRAM system - looking at the specs .. are we talking much performance gain ??

    10% more performance,

    I should have said 110% performance:o

But 2*256 will be faster than 1* 512, I hope you bet that 2*256 would be faster:D :D
