Gas/Electric Cooker Fitting advice wanted

Need a bit of advice....In the new house we are moving into (just waiting for red tape/contracts etc.) the space left for a cooker is for a free-standing electric or gas. However, we prefer the Gas hob that fits into the work-top and the electric oven underneath. So thats what we bought....How easy would it be or how much would it cost to employ someone to do the necessary alterations and fit it ? I presume we would need a whole new work top, and a 'carcass' to fit the electric oven into? Is it an easy job? Thank you.
