    Sheen offered Irish study place

An Irish university has said it would be happy to offer a place to actor Martin Sheen, after he said he would be keen to study in the Republic.
The West Wing star told the Daily Mail he wanted to finish his education after he retires from acting.
"I never got my high school diploma and have always felt a need to address that," he said.
A spokeswoman for the National University of Ireland, Galway, said: "Obviously he would be most welcome."
    Education
"We do have the Huston School of film and digital media here, of which Anjelica Huston is a patron," she added.
"It was named after John Huston. That would be a Hollywood connection. If he is aware of that, I don't know."
Sheen, whose mother was born in Ireland, said he plans to study English literature, philosophy and theology in Galway.
"I'll be 65 this summer and have received a number of degrees, but no proper education since I started acting," he said.
Sheen has played President Josiah Bartlet in The West Wing since 1999. His big screen roles have included Apocalypse Now and Gandhi.
