I might be wrong but I've heard the Pentium 133's are actually the same chips as the 100's... This gives me an idea...

My 1.8ghz 3000+ is running at 2.25 ghz.

I have an XP-90 to cool it. Runs at about 33' when sitting in windows (cool n quiet). Runs about 43 after extended burning playing a game/prime 95/ whatever.

How do you achieve better cooling on a laptop? Before even thinking about overclocking, my Toshiba laptop will threaten to shut down if the sun comes out (almost:rolleyes: ).

:v: Tear it apart and recondition the heat sink with a bucket of thermal grease?

:v: Tried those external cooling pads with fans, and they are not all that great to reduce heat when I'm cooking.

:v: Any solutions for existing equipment, or do I need to buy a new box and go from scratch?

    when sitting in windows

Have opened the window and mounted laptop on small corner boxes to create more air space under unit. This helps when it's cold outside. Otherwise, it's a bust.

Dunno about laptops man. I imagine they would be insanely difficult to overclock because of the heat factor and the extra voltage you'd be putting through it is bound to drain your battery faster.

I wouldn't bother me arse overclockin' a laptop mate. Too much hassle dealing with heat issues. Laptops are hot enough as it is, without overclockin' em. Unless you have the option of sittin' in a fridge!!

Used to run my P75 as a P90 all the time :D
I put in a case fan, just to be on the safe side - it had a humoungous heatsink anyway (old Dell OptiPlex).

I used to run my Celeron 366 at 412.5MHz most the time too, with the standard crappy heatsink - used to get the odd hard disk error and Explorer crash (then again I don't know if that was just Windows 98 being, you know, Windows 98 ^_^), but besides that it was fine.

Laptop overclocking is a no no. Forget about it. Serious heat issues.
