Just remembered a quote Adam sandlers "Anger management" --
hooker1 - I like it when there big
hooker2 - I prefer them when there enourmous!

I have to agree with hooker2 -- who wants tiny!!

    How do these things work
    30cm 48dB
    29 cm 47dB
    25cm 50dB
    22cm 52dB
    20cm 51dB
    15cm 51dB

Sounds too good to be true

Mind you if it does work it could be a godsend for the "I live in an apartment/private estate/listed building etc and the landlord/managment company/council/local grupfurher wont let me put up a dish" types

The theory behind them is here. Dr Dish aired a promo video for a Japanese version a few months back.

Nice pictures but poor layout and nothing in the way of price lists or ordering/shipping/payment details

If his products are as good as he claims he should be able to make a fortune though

EDIT: Actually reading through the site again I see the guy is actually a designer rather than selling the things but he is looking for a company to manufacture them

Don't they usually use polystyrene foam for lenses ?

Could you make your own out of old packing and a ball to fit it in ?

Think more a Malteser. It needs different layers or variable density polystyrene etc.

It needs to have a granularity of the plastic or layers of less than 3mm to aviod distorting the image, Imagine a glass lens made of broken glass or powder, it wouldn't work. Irregularities need always to be about 1/10th wavelength or less, this is why C band mesh dish don't work for Ku band.
