Freelance Writing?

Apologies to anyone that checked in expecting a good story.

I'm a legend at writing and have decided not to write anything for free from now on. How can I get paid for it? My areas of interest are food, wine, psychology (well, not really, but I did it in college), the gym, natural history, and the environment. I have broadband in my house and a shiny laptop.

Thanks to anyone who can advise.

    Paul.

Contact a publisher.. Show them some work. Then if they like you, write a few books on the topic you mentioned... I'm guessing

Submit things to papers and magazines. And, not quite sure if this is necessary as it's hard to read sarcasm online unless it's very obvious, but steel yourself against rejection... you might be a legend in your eyes, but you're not the one who'll pay you to write for you, are you?

Another way of cracking into the freelance scene is to first establish a reputation. Perhaps consider entering writing contests. The up side is that if you win, they give prize money. The downside is that if you don't, then you're out entry fees.
