Has anyone here any experience of alloy welding to repair minor damage on
wheels? or know a company capable of this kind of work in Ireland?

This is the closest I can find - http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/

    Cheers, Justin.

There's a company in Dublin called Aluweld just behind Phoenix Park - they do this sort of thing. They'll grind the crap off a wheel, knock out dents (even tiny ones) and weld new material into cracked/gouged alloy.

    Aluweld Ltd.
    Unit 1, Blackhorse Ind Est
    Blackhorse Ave Dublin 7.
    Telephone: +353 (0) 1 8681100.
    Fax: +353 (0) 1 8681118

There is a guy in Toghers buisness park, Near Newbridge,Kildare.
He has done some welding on BMW alloys for me, Very tasty!
You have to leave them in, and collect after a couple of days.
I am not due to be in Cork until 1st week in July, But may be able to help with delivery/ collection.
i will be at classic car live (Mondello) Sunday, if you are up this way, We can work something out.
He charged me 50.00 per wheel.

    Hi there
I do quite a lot of alloy welding on cars - mainly fabrication of throttle body conversions etc but have welded a few wheels.
I'm in Kerry - PM me for contact details if interested.

There's a company in Midleton that repairs them. They're a general engineering workshop, I've been a few times and sent a few friends in and can't fault their work.

That engineering company in Midleton are absolutely sh1t hot. They made brackets for my 6 piston wilwood calipers to go over the non-standard 330mm drilled and slotted discs.

Failing that, wheeldoctor.ie - no relation and based in Tipp - regularly weld alloys and their work is flawless too.
