I finally managed to get broadband of Smart and was quite happy with the transfer.

    I cant connect however.

My line has been changed over, but I am using my own wireless router (a netgear DG834Gv2) to attempt a connection.

The settings that are advised in the setup manual have been implemented
    1. Changed to PPPoE
    2. Changed VPI to 8
    3. Changed VCI to 35
    4. entered my account name and password correctly

and I am able to connect to my router which is ASDL+2 compliant

are there any other setting I should be considering?

    tba,

Can you connect using Smart's router?

    Okay,

    So,

    1. Do you have your new telephone number? Call your mobile to see what number comes up.
    2. Plug the Smart router into the main phone socket (use the filter).
    3. Do you get a solid green link light?
